Calendar freeze

Trying to add or work in the calendar causes doogiepim to freeze and I am unable to do anything in the program and can only close it by using Windows 10 task manager.
I am having so many problems with this programs daily freezing when getting messages and trying to search and having to constantly close and restart and this is why I stopped using doogiepim months ago and just started using again this month but nothing has changed just gotten worse.
Using V 2.1.1.8

The reason for the main window frozen whilst opening an Even Edit Window is due to the normal operation of creating or modifying a record of the Calendar section. When the edit window is active, you need to either Save or Cancel on the edit window in order to continue using the main window.
There are plans to modify this behaviour in a future version so that the Event Edit Window works just like the other edit windows within doogiePIM.

this is not resolved I am still not able to use the calendar, in any form, without the program freezing.
